Operation Spark offers the quickest path to employment as a software engineer. You can go from High School to High Wage in less than six months! Here's how our programming works:

• Prep: The Prep program is the first phase of Operation Spark journey. Prep includes projects and coding exercises to help you acquire the skills to move forward into our intensive coding Bootcamp. You can complete Prep program on any Internet connected computer, whether at home, at school, or at the library. You and your teacher and fellow students can form a software club, and together work on the Prep material.

• Bootcamp: (Prerequisites : Prep) Our one-month coding Bootcamp is a deep dive into JavaScript. The course focuses on basic concepts, functional programming, and web development. Students qualify for Bootcamp once they've fully completed the Prep material and passed the end-of-prep interview and coding quiz. Bootcamp prepares students for entry into both our 6 week Midway and or our three month, Immersion program.

  • 3 hours a day, 5 days a week for 4 weeks.
  • HTML, CSS, and the fundamentals of JavaScript, the programming language of the Internet and functional programming.
  • Students come away with a project-based portfolio.

• Midway: (Prerequisites : Prep, Bootcamp) In the Midway program, students work with mentors to complete a series of real-world projects. Students must meet project deadlines. The program leans heavily on the use of industrial workflow and team communication. Graduates of the Midway can expect to earn a paid internship or a position as a junior software developer.

  • 6 weeks, 6 projects, mentoring, professional workflow.

• Immersion: (Prerequisites : Prep, Bootcamp) Our Immersion program is more rigorous and time-consuming than most educational programs or full-time jobs. Over the course of 3 months, students learn how to think like a software engineer. Their lives are positively changed with this intensive and team bonding experience.

  • 3 months, 11 hours a day, 6 days a week.
  • Build production-ready web applications.
  • Develop a cutting edge digital/remote collaboration skill-set and toolkit.
  • Learn effective communication, workflow management, product development, application deployment, and team dynamics.

• Get Hired: Graduates of Operation Spark complete the best training available in software development. They become highly skilled engineers. They are workforce ready, and can hit the ground running on day one. Throughout the program, we keep every student’s job search in mind. By graduation, they have a solid Github presence, tons of technical interview experience, a personal site, LinkedIn profile and resume. We guide them through their job search with mock interviews, mentoring and more, and ensure they land a great job in software development.
